Assumptions behind this estimate

Assumptions: fees are applied per trade on the full trade amount; the withdrawal fee is charged once. Real platform fees are tiered and change — check the official fee schedule.

South Africa presets (verified data only)

Each preset is filled from the exchange's own fee page, read on the date shown. Rates are the entry-level tier per pair category; withdrawal rails are the published ZAR options. Nothing below is estimated: an exchange without a published, verified number appears in the "not yet available" list with the reason, and a preset whose data passes its re-check window is disabled until it is re-verified.

Not yet available as a preset

    • Binance: Missing verified data: a verified per-pair maker/taker schedule, ZAR withdrawal fee.
    • Kraken: Missing verified data: a verified per-pair maker/taker schedule, ZAR withdrawal fee.
    • Ovex: Missing verified data: a published maker/taker rate (quote-based pricing: the cost is the spread inside each quote).

    Assumptions behind this estimate

    • Trading fee = trade amount × fee percentage (maker or taker of the selected pair category) × number of trades. Turnover = trade amount × trades. Effective cost = total cost ÷ turnover.
    • Estimate assumes the entry-level fee tier. Volume tiers lower the rate for high-volume accounts; the calculator does not model them. Where a rate differs by pair category you choose the category; a negative maker rate is a rebate.
    • The withdrawal fee is charged once on the withdrawal amount you enter (default: the trade amount, i.e. your principal — never the turnover). Free allowances such as VALR's 30 free normal withdrawals a month are applied when "Use free monthly withdrawal allowance" is ticked (the default for a typical new user); untick it if you have used the allowance.
    • Instant-buy or simple-buy screens, spreads, price movement, bank charges on your side and crypto network fees are not included. Quote-based platforms (Ovex) have no maker/taker rate and cannot be modelled here. Where a fee is variable the calculator shows "Variable — verify current fee on the provider." instead of a number.
    • Presets reflect the pages cited above on their verification dates; exchanges change fees without notice. A preset is disabled automatically once its fee data is older than30 days. Full method: Methodology › Fee Calculator.
